An important area which affects all business is Data Protection, this Act is prominent for all business owners, however, it’s often put on the back burner as it’s felt it is only necessary for large businesses. This is a very common misconception.

It affects EVERYONE. This will also become more important with the introduction on the new GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) on the 25th May 2018 (yes – that’s 5 months away!)

Now is the time to get your data in the best shape over the next few months ready for the launch of GDPR. As a small business owner, it can be overwhelming to wear all hats and understand all the rules and regulations for each aspect of our business.

One thing you can do ahead of the event on the 11th December event is to check out whether you need to register your business with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). This is one step towards complying with the regulations set out by the upcoming GDPR legislation.
